As American Journalist Mark Shields stated, “There is always strength in numbers. The more individuals or organizations that you can rally to your cause, the better.” No truer words were ever spoken!
Lately, Music Doing Good has been contacted by several companies in Houston to support the musical outreach work we do for at-risk children and students of Title 1 schools. We have been overwhelmed with the support that we continue to receive from the community.
Hotels for Hope is a “Room Funding” organization that donates $2 per hotel night stay to a nonprofit organization when booking for a local event or music festival. All of their nonprofit beneficiaries across the country help children in various ways. Free Press Summer Fest and Hotels for Hope chose Music Doing Good as the beneficiary for their event over the summer. We are grateful to Hotels for Hope for a new community partnership.
Third party benefits and human resource administrator, Insperity, contacted Music Doing Good to participate in a networking event, which was held at Karbach Brewery. For any Insperity account generated during the event, Music Doing Good will receive a percentage of the initiation fees. During the event, the Insperity team surprised us with a check for $500. They also invited beloved Quarterback for the Houston Oilers, Dan Pastorini, to join us for the event. Not only did he make a donation, but he also donated an autographed football for our upcoming silent auction and concert, “Generosity.” We are so grateful for our new partnership with Insperity.
Chipotle contacted us for a local promotion that will donate 50% of each purchase on Friday, July 21 at any River Oaks, Midtown and Village Place location to Music Doing Good outreach programs. If you are reading this before July 21st, please head to the nearest Chipotle location and mention Music Doing Good!
Thank you Houston and beyond for being so supportive of our outreach programs and for creating a world where we all live in concert!
