The President’s Leadership Council (PLC) is a group of community leaders dedicated to providing music scholarships to Houston’s economically challenged students. The PLC believes in the transformative power of music and its positive societal impact on individuals, families, schools, and communitites. The members raise money for the President’s Leadership Council College-Bound Fund, which awards 4-year scholarships to students studying music at Texas Southern University, University of St. Thomas, and University of Houston, and 2-year scholarships to students studying music at Houston Community College. These scholarships are based on financial need. Donors are invited to attend musical showcases that highlight the children we serve through Music Doing Good’s outreach programs.
