An Intimate Evening with Ronny Cox

Music Doing Good had the pleasure of hosting a benefit concert on September 22nd with our dear friend, Ronny Cox. This was the fourth collaboration with the veteran Hollywood actor/singer/songwriter. Guests enjoyed meeting Ronny and listening to his wonderful stories and original folk music. He was joined on stage by long-time friend and collaborator, Radoslov Lorcovic, who accompanied on piano and accordion.

Music Doing Good scholarship recipient, Tyler Henderson also performed with his Jazz trio including bassist, Corey Dosier and drummer, Andrew Sneed. His prowess on the piano far exceeds that of someone his age. Tyler currently attends Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. There was no shortage of talent on stage that evening.

Music Doing Good founder and president, Marie Taylor Bosarge, was surprised with a birthday cake and serenade of “Happy Birthday.” It was a perfect opportunity for the guests to show Marie their gratitude for all she has done to bring music to children in Houston who would otherwise not have access.

We are so grateful to all of those who braved the rain and came out to support Music Doing Good. We are also grateful to our sponsors for the evening, who enabled us to maximize our profits, which means more funding for our outreach programs. Special thanks to photographer, Larry Fogel, for generously donating his services.
