Music Doing Good and Team Music Is Love Partner for Instrument Grant

Little Cypress-Mauriceville Band in Orange, TX to Receive Grant

WHO:   Music Doing Good is a nonprofit arts organization that inspires and transforms children’s lives through innovative, music-based programming and performance experiences. The organization provides musical outreach in the form of an instrument granting program; music scholarships; piano accompaniment for school productions, choirs and UIL competition; and an after-school fine arts enrichment program for students of Title 1 schools. In 2017, Music Doing Good launched a College-Bound Scholarship Program whereby 10 music students received scholarships to go to College/University starting last fall.

Through her Team Music Is Love charity initiative, Martina McBride invites fans to join her in making the world a better place out on tour and in their own home towns. Martina and her fans have partnered together on several fundraising and volunteer projects for various causes ranging from hunger relief to cancer research and combating domestic violence to helping children in need. Through Team Music Is Love, people from around the nation and the world have joined Martina’s global charity movement.

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Band program provides students with high quality music education, promote a high standard of excellence, and enhance the lives of band members by fostering an environment that develops confidence, responsibility, leadership, cooperation, and character. The LCM Band lost numerous band instruments to Hurricane Harvey. Their band director submitted a wish list and Music Doing Good and Team Music is Love will grant the following items to the program:
