Music Doing Good with Instruments began with a single instrument donation that was redistributed back into the community to a deserving young student. Since 2013, Music Doing Good with Instruments has granted 184 free, gently-used instruments valued at $23,958 to students in need and schools wishing to create or maintain orchestra and/or band programs. The program has collected 205 instruments valued at $46,287 to be refurbished and redistributed in the community. A recent grant of 69 violins and violas was made with newly purchased instruments totaling $5,145. Music Doing Good is granting 67 instruments to schools affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Music Doing Good with Instruments will replace instruments at the following schools that were lost due to Hurricane Harvey.
-Null Middle School (Sheldon ISD)
-Fred Roberts Middle School (Pasadena ISD)
-Thompson Intermediate School (Pasadena ISD)
